MG フリーダムガンダム Ver.2.0と、そのフレームを流用しているモデルは、股関節の自由度が高い凝った設計で、ポージングの再現範囲が広いことが魅力です。
ただ、一つ弱点があります。それが、上の図で赤丸で囲っている脚部を連結するための股関節から突出する軸部品「部品番号J4」です。
この軸部品「部品番号 J4」の強度が不足気味で、脚を動かすと壊れることがあります。

破損後の修理、製作前に予め補強、の対処時期に応じて、最適な対処方法を検討します。
対処方法① BANDAIに同じ部品J4を注文
- 対処可能時期：破損後
- 完治レベル ：△

同じ部品への交換なので、補強される訳ではありません。
破損した部品と同じ部品に組み替えるだけなので手間は最小限です。
コストは、部品代６０円／個＋送料３００円と安い。しかし、バンダイの部品販売が日本国内にしか対応していない為、日本国外のユーザーは利用できません。

真鍮線を細い軸に埋め込む工具の準備と工作作業が必要で、手間がかかります。
直径１ｍｍ程度の真鍮線と、真鍮線を切る工具と削る工具が必要です。
対処方法③ メタル製のパーツに入れ替え

強度が高い金属に材料置換するため、万全の対策ができます。
加工無しで、部品を組み替えるだけで手間は最小限です。

Making holes
I drilled small holes in several places, assuming there would be bolt holes for attaching parts. The holes were then painted silver to simulate bolts

Add metal mono eye
The monoeye is changed to a metal part to make it more realistic.
Added attitude control thrusters
A metal nozzle was added to simulate an attitude control thruster.

I painted the frame, pipe and shield silver with a brush.

This paint has a realistic gloss after polishing, and even when applied with a brush, it does not show unevenness and gives a beautiful finish.

Because of the good molding color of the armor, a topcoat with a good finish was used.
