On days when Gundam Base Tokyo is crowded, numbered tickets with available entry times will be distributed in front of the store. If you do not receive a numbered ticket and arrive at the front of the store at the listed entry time, you will not be able to enter the store. If you go to get a numbered ticket in the afternoon on a busy day, the numbered tickets for that day may have already been distributed and you may not be able to enter the store on that day. How to Check the Stock at Gundam Base Tokyo
The stock at Gundam Base Tokyo is replenished according to the release dates of new products or restocking schedules. On days like the Monday after a holiday, popular items may already be sold out. Therefore, it’s understandable to want to know the stock availability before visiting Gundam Base Tokyo. Here is an explanation of how to check the stock at Gundam Base Tokyo:
This kit is excellent for an HG in that the parts are finely divided and look realistic. Therefore, I tried to emphasize the realistic impression by simple crafting and a little modification.
The Theme of Building
Real Grade Style with Simple Crafting
Gate finishing
After cutting the gate with nippers, smooth the gate marks with a sponge file.
*The nippers I use
*The sponge file I use
Line engraving
The greatest feature of the real grade is the fine division of the armor panels. Therefore, I reproduced the panel divisions by adding line engravings. For simple work, only straight lines were used for the line engravings.
For the line engraving, I used an engraving knife and a guide tape to guide the edge of the blade.
Making holes
I drilled small holes in several places, assuming there would be bolt holes for attaching parts.
*The tool used was this.
Adding Parts
The round molds on the shoulders are too small to ink neatly, so I glued round parts that I purchased separately from the kit.
Before
After
*Here are the parts used.
Parts were added to make the circular shaped parts under the chest stand out.

Brush Painting
I painted the frame in silver to create the texture of steel.
*Here are the paints I used.
This paint has a realistic gloss after polishing, and even when applied with a brush, it does not show unevenness and gives a beautiful finish.
To emphasize the divided armor panels, I painted some of the panels a little darker than the color of the adjacent panels.
Inking
I used Tamiya’s special paint for inking.
Decal
Commercially available water transfer decals were applied to increase the amount of visual information.
*The water transfer decals used are these.
Coating
The armor was coated with a matte finish. The frame was coated with a semi-gloss finish to preserve the texture of the painted steel.
*Here is the coating we used.
flat finish
Semi-gloss finish
These coating is not difficult to use and the finish is excellent. It is very easy to use and the finish is excellent.
After completion
A real grade look was achieved through simple crafting.
Amazon has a wide variety of products, sometimes selling items that are out of stock at the actual store or at other online retailers. On the other hand, many products are sold at prices higher than the list price. In the table below, you can see only products that are sold at almost the list price.
Around Akihabara Station, there are several model shops that sell Gundam model kits. Below are some of the stores I visit. The stores always have some model kits on sale.
Popular kits sell out quickly, so even if you go to a store that sells new kits, they often do not have them in stock. In such cases, you can go to a store that sells second-hand kits, which may have it in stock. Second-hand kits are kits that have been sold once but are unassembled. When there is a kit you want, I recommend that you check not only stores that sell new kits, but also stores that sell second-hand kits.

This model has cool exclusive molding colors, so I made use of the molding colors.
The Theme of Building Utilize exterior molding colors !
Parting line finishing
Making holes I drilled small holes in several places, assuming there would be bolt holes for attaching parts.

Adding Parts
Add metal mono eye The monoeye is changed to a metal part to make it more realistic.
Since the metal monoeye are thick, I removed the mono eye shield and glued the metal monoeye to the axis. I think it turned out cool with a simple work.
A larger lens was glued to a metal frame. The edge of the lens can be exposed without being hidden by the metal frame, so I thought it would be cool to make the lens stand out.
Added attitude control thrusters A metal nozzle was added to simulate an attitude control thruster.
